Privacy Policy
This policy sets out what we collect when you use this website (jymdental.tw), why we collect it, how long we keep it, who receives it, and the rights you may exercise. It is written to the notification requirements of Article 8 of Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act, and every item below was checked against the code this site actually runs — it is not a generic template.

1. Scope first: your clinical records are not covered by this policy
This policy covers only the data generated when you use this website.
The clinical records, intraoral photographs, radiographs and other medical records created when you are treated at the clinic are governed by the Medical Care Act and related health regulations, which set their own retention periods, access procedures and rules for requesting copies. They are not covered here — please contact the clinic reception directly.
This website has no online booking, no online consultation and no symptom enquiry form, so it does not collect your health status, medical history or any clinical information.
2. Who is collecting your data
The collecting institution is Jun Yang Mei Dental Clinic (JYM Dental Clinic), healthcare institution code 3701028607, 4F, No. 250, Section 4, Zhongxiao East Road, Da'an District, Taipei, telephone +886 2 2771-9585.
The website is built and maintained for the clinic by HowBridge, which acts as a processor for the technical side. This site is also an advertiser page on the HowBridge advertising platform, so a portion of the performance statistics is passed to that platform — see section 4. We do not hide this.
3. What this website collects, and why
There are three categories. The first arises only if you actively log in; the second and third arise from browsing alone.
- Member data (only if you sign in with Google): your name, email address, Google account identifier and avatar URL. The purpose is to identify you as a member and provide the member area. This website neither obtains nor stores your Google password, and it does not send email verification messages.
- Cookies and browser local storage: used to keep you signed in, remember your language, prevent cross-site request forgery, and identify visitors for advertising performance statistics. Details in the table below.
- Server access logs: IP address, browser and operating system information, time of visit and URL. The purpose is security, fault diagnosis and traffic statistics.

4. The site measures your browsing behaviour, and the results go to the advertising platform
This site is an advertiser page on the HowBridge advertising platform. It carries two first-party measurement scripts that record the items below, tie them together using the hb_vid identifier, and send them to that platform to calculate how this advertising placement performs:
These statistics contain no name, no email address and nothing that directly identifies you. More importantly: form interaction records only which fields you touched, in what order, how long it took and which field an error occurred in — it never transmits what you actually typed into a field. The script does not read input values anywhere.
If you are signed in as a member, your member data and these statistics are stored separately; this website does not merge them.
- Page views, dwell time, scroll depth, click count, whether the visit was brief, and how you left
- The referring URL path and the size of your browser window
- Impressions of advertising placements (counted only once half of the placement has been visible for a full second) and clicks
- Form interaction: starting to fill in, abandoning, which fields were touched and in what order, how long it took, and which field a validation error occurred in
5. What this website does not do
Each of the following can be verified in this website's source code:
- No third-party analytics or advertising trackers are installed — no Google Analytics, no Google Tag Manager, no Meta Pixel, no Hotjar, no Microsoft Clarity. Everything described in section 4 goes to this site's own address and passes through no third party.
- We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data.
- We do not use member data to send marketing messages or to make sales calls.
- We do not collect health status, medical history or any clinical information on this website.
6. How long data is kept, and where
Member data is kept for as long as your account exists; it is deleted together with the account when you ask for the account to be removed.
Server access logs rotate daily and are deleted automatically after at most 90 days.
The lifetimes of cookies and local storage are in the table in section 3; you can clear them from your browser settings at any time.
Data is held on the clinic's servers in Taiwan, in electronic form in a database and in server log files.
7. The rights you may exercise
Under Article 3 of the Personal Data Protection Act you may exercise the following rights over the personal data this website holds, and those rights may not be waived in advance or limited by contract:
How to exercise them: contact us through the clinic's official LINE account, or call +886 2 2771-9585. To prevent anyone impersonating you, we will verify your identity before acting. Under Article 14 of the same Act, the clinic may charge the necessary costs for a search or for producing a copy.
If you believe the clinic has breached the Act, you may also seek redress from the local competent authority or through the courts.

8. What happens if you do not provide data
You can read every piece of health-education content and all the clinic information on this site without logging in at all.
Not signing in with Google simply means you cannot use the member area. It does not affect any of your rights as a patient at the clinic, nor your registration, your appointment or your health insurance cover.
You may also block or clear the cookies listed in section 3. Clearing hb_vid only means the performance statistics can no longer recognise you as the same visitor; it does not affect your browsing. Clearing the sign-in and anti-forgery cookies, however, will stop you being able to log in to the member area.
9. Minors
The health-education content on this site is written for a general readership. Anyone under 18 is advised to obtain the consent of a legal guardian before using the member features.
If you find that a child in your care has provided personal data without consent, please contact us as described in section 7 and we will delete it.
10. Security, and links to other sites
The whole site is transmitted over HTTPS, and anyone arriving over plain HTTP is redirected automatically to the encrypted connection. Members sign in with Google, and this website stores no passwords at all.
The LINE button, the Google sign-in button, the map and the social links on these pages will take you to external sites the clinic does not control. Once you leave this website, the privacy policy that applies is that site's own, and we suggest you read it separately.
11. Revisions to this policy
If this policy is revised, we update this page directly and update the last-revised date shown at the top. Where the change is material — a change in the purpose of collection or in who receives the data — we will additionally announce it on the website.

In Taiwan, a dental clinic may only open after it has been approved and registered by the local health authority and issued a practice license under the Medical Care Act, and every practicing dentist must hold a physician certificate issued by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. 君漾美牙醫診所 (JYM Dental Clinic) is a legally established, government-approved medical institution (medical institution code 3701028607), a National Health Insurance contracted clinic (contracted since 2021), and a participant in the NHI Administration's Integrated Periodontal Care Program and Enhanced Infection Control Program for Dental Outpatient Clinics. Every item above can be verified in official public records.
